Local cyclist - the café can take in donated bikes and service them ready for sale and back on the road
We can also carry out with simple repairs to get you going again - for a donation and the cost of parts. 
There are lots of bikes sitting in garages and sheds - let’s get them running and see them out and about the villages!

I am an Alpha Male Canine, fully trained as a Sympathetic Greeter  at the Repair Cafe,
I particularly like assisting with children, encouraging payment of biscuit treats and softening hearts.

I help repair Computers, binoculars and telescopes. I also keep the Cafe's IT systems bumbling along.
I trained as an electronic engineer, before computers were a thing, and I enjoy sorting out problems for people.
I volunteer because I love learning, love hearing the stories behind some of the repairs - and I love a challenge!

I help repair mechanical clocks and music boxes, untangle and restring Pelham Puppets. I have helped to repair all sorts of things, ever since my mother showed me how to locate a hole and then repair it, in a bicycle tyre inner tube.
Why do I volunteer? I was brought up to volunteer, helping my mother do shopping for residents of a care home. Since then I have continued to volunteer in very many different capacities, and I love it!

I'm from Norway and used to teach Mathematics, Electronics and Multimedia at University of Agder in Norway. I used to be the chairman of the Norwegian Land Rover Club and cars are still my hobby. 
I like to do practical things. For me it's meaningful and important to help and meet people.

I restore the wooden parts of furniture, making and fitting precision parts in matching timber. I specialise in musical instruments and model boats - which is a more widely applicable skill set than you might think - check out www.folkwhistle.com
I love cutting up timber, seeing its potential and making old things good again - especially if I can use reclaimed timber.
